If you're expecting to receive several payments over time to fulfill the pledge, you can create installments to help keep track of expected payments.
Adding Payment Installments to a Pledge
Types of Installments
There are 2 options for installments:
Option 1: "Recurring Installments" automatically generates a series of installments starting on a specific date, with a specific amount, according to a schedule you select. For example: $1000 every month, starting October 15, 2018.
Option 2: "Add Installment" allows you to manually create a single, one-time installment for your pledge, with a specific amount and date. For example: $5,000 on October 15th.
You may use both recurring and one-time installments on your Pledge.
Add Recurring Installments for a Pledge
Open your Pledge and click on the "Recurring Installments" button.
The Generate Pledge Installments wizard will appear:
To generate installments:
- Select your Interval (days, weeks or months) for how often you want the installments to occur.
- Enter a Start Date for the first installment.
- Enter an Installment Amount for the installments.
- Click "Add" to generate your installments.
You can now review your installments by clicking on the Pledge and viewing the "Installments" tab:
Add a One-Time Installment for a Pledge
Open your Pledge and click on the "Add Installment" button:
This will open the Add Installment fields:
- Enter the Installment Amount
- Enter the Date
- Click "Add" or "Save" to save.
Note that if your installment amount is less than the full value of the Pledge, you'll receive a popup asking you to confirm:
