After you share your form, you can start collecting responses. What happens to the information that comes in from your form's respondents is decided based on the type of question that you used to collect that data.
Depending on whether you used a CRM or custom question, where the information is stored will vary.
Where does my information go?
If you used a CRM question, the information that a respondent gave will appear in the Responses tab of your form.
When a respondent is new to your Contacts, a new contact profile will be created, and their answers will be used to fill in their contact profile fields: first name, last name, address, email, etc.
When a respondent matches someone already in your Contacts, their answers will be used to fill in gaps within their contact profile. Perhaps their existing contact profile in Keela only had their name and email, but they gave their address as a form response; in that case, the address on their contact profile would be updated.
If you used a Custom question, the information that a respondent gave will appear only in the Responses tab of your form. None of the fields in their contact profile will be updated.
How is incoming information matched?
Incoming information from form responses will only affect contact profiles if the form used a CRM question to collect that information.
When responses come in, Keela will see the respondent's email address matches someone else's email address within your Contacts. If so, their form responses will be used to fill in gaps within the contact profile.
If Keela cannot find an email match, a new contact profile will be created.
