We know how important it is for your contacts to have control of their email communication preferences, and for you to know what their preferences are. That's why we offer multiple options to your contacts for managing their subscription status, and give you full visibility on their subscription status in Keela.
What is Subscription Status?
Subscription status refers to a contact's preferences for email communications. These preferences are stored on the Contact Profile in the Admin section.
This section displays Tags the contact is current subscribed to.
2. Unsubscribed Tags
This section displays Tags the contact is currently unsubscribed from.
3. Unsubscribed Smart Lists
This section displays Smart Lists the contact is currently unsubscribed from.
If set to Not Allowed, the contact will not receive any emails from Keela, including E-blasts and direct emails.
5. Global Subscription
If set to Unsubscribed, the contact will not receive any E-blasts from Keela, but will still receive direct emails.
How can a contact change their subscription status?
When your E-blast recipient clicks on the Unsubscribe link, they'll have the option to:
- Unsubscribe from the list used to send the E-blast (via Tag or Smart List)
- Unsubscribe from Global Subscription
Here is an example of the workflow from the contact's perspective - Unsubscribing to an E-Blast in Keela
* Note that this video is specific to unsubscribing to a tag, but the same workflow applies to a Smartlist
If they click either of these options, their subscription status in Keela will automatically be updated.
How can I edit subscription status on behalf of a contact?
If a contact requests a change their subscription status, you can change it on their behalf by clicking on the Edit button on the upper right corner of the Admin section on their profile.
You will then have access to the Edit Contact Admin panel. Make the requested changes and click Save.
