Important Note on Gmail Extension
Due to changes made by Google, we are retiring the Gmail Extension from the Keela Platform. Not to worry though, as we've replaced this with even better functionality that allows tracking of emails across all email platforms!
More information about the new feature can be found here - Using BBC and Forward Email Addresses with Keela.
Although we have retired the Gmail Extension, we understand that this is still working for certain legacy users. As such, we've decided to leave the integration live for those who are still able to use it, but please note that we are unable to provide support for any issues that happen with the integration. If you run into any issues with the integration, please start using the BCC and Forward feature as outlined in the link above.
About the Extension
Google Chrome is a free Internet browser that allows you to install a range of add-ons to make day-to-day tasks quicker and easier. With Keela's Email extension, you can choose to track the emails you send from Gmail as in your Keela account.
When you install the Keela Email extension, you can link your Gmail account to Keela, allowing you to track your email interactions with different contacts.
Install the Keela Extension for Chrome
Keela makes it simple to install the Keela Gmail extension for Google Chrome in a few steps.
Add Chrome extension
Navigate to "Personal Settings" by clicking on the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of Keela. Next, select the "Integrations" tab to open your Personal settings.
Under the Gmail section of your Settings, click on the "+ Get Chrome Extension" button.
This will bring you to the Keela Gmail Extension page on the Chrome Web Store. To add the Keela extension to Chrome, click the "+ Add to Chrome" button. When the browser prompts you to add the extension, click the "Add extension" button.
When the add-on has been installed, an icon will appear in the top right side of your browser with a confirmation of installation.
Configure the extension
Once you have installed the add-on, click on the Keela button in the top right of your browser. This will prompt you to select a region and connect a Keela account.
By default, the region is set to the United States. If you are a US customer, keep the default. If you are a Canadian Keela customer, click on "Change" and select the "Canada" button.
To connect Keela, click on the "Connect your Keela account" button. Enter in your Keela login credentials and click "Log In".
If you have more than one Keela organization, you can select between them by clicking the Keela add-on button and selecting the organization that you want to use to track your emails.
You will also need to grant permissions for Keela to sync your Gmail messages. To do this, return to the Integrations screen of Keela and toggle on "Sync Gmail Messages". This area will also tell you which Gmail account that Keela has connected to.
Now that the Keela extension has been installed, you can learn how to send emails that are tracked in Keela and ensure that you're always on top of your contact interactions.
Important Note: There can only ever be one live Gmail extension occurring at a time. For example, if you two internet browsers open with different Gmail accounts logged in, the Google Chrome Extension for Keela will only appear on the Gmail account for the Keela account that is logged in.
