Our Tasks tool lets you create and manage project tasks, set deadlines and priority levels, and assign team members and followers to each task that you create. When you use these tools, you can stay organized through every step of your project and never miss a step again!
Import Your Tasks
Keela makes it as easy to import Project Tasks with only a few clicks.
You can always import tasks into a specific project by navigating to the project you want and clicking the + button to the right of the title bar and selecting "Import Tasks" from the option menu.
There are a few critical steps to ensuring a successful, clean import.
Prepare Your Task Data
The most important part of importing your task information into Keela is ensuring that our software can understand your information and how it is organized.
Make sure that your task data is prepared for import and that your list is saved as a CSV (comma separated values) file on your computer.
Beginning your Import
Once you have your CSV file saved, navigate to the Projects screen from the left sidebar in Keela.
To the right of the Project title bar, click on the "Add" button and select "Import Tasks" to open the Import Tasks screen.
This will open to Step 1 of the import, "Choose File". From here, click the "Choose File" button and locate the CSV file on your computer. Select your file, and click "Open".
Identify Fields to be Imported
After opening your CSV file, the Import Tasks screen will show an overview of your data under "Identify Fields", or Step 2 of the import.
If your CSV file included column titles in the first row, toggle the "File does not contain column titles" button so that it says "File contains column titles". This will move the information in your first row into the header, or column title, row.
Match your headers with the field that they represent by opening the "Select" drop-down list and choosing the correct column headings for the columns that you want to import. Click the "Next" button at the bottom right of your screen when you are finished.
Complete your Import
In Step 3, Import, you can put all of your tasks into an existing Project.
Once you're ready to complete your import, click "Submit".
