We know how important it is to be able to communicate with your contacts quickly, so we've made it easy to send emails to subscribed contacts.
Our E-blasts tool lets you create and manage e-blasts, customize what your message looks like, and track the delivery and reach of your e-blast. When you use this tool, you can get your message out quickly and help make your next group email more effective.
Creating an E-blast
Keela makes it as easy as possible to create a new e-blast with only a few clicks.
Create a New E-blast
You can create an e-blast that is standalone or is specific to a campaign.
There are a few different ways that you can create a new e-blast.
- From the main Campaigns screen, click on the "+" button to the right of the Campaigns title bar and select "Add E-blast".
- Click on Campaigns to open the main campaigns screen, and click on the E-blasts tab under the Campaigns title bar. Click on the "Add a campaign" or "+ E-blast" button.
- Click on Campaigns to view your campaign list and select the one that you want to send an e-blast for. Click on the "+" button to the right of the Campaigns title bar and select "Add E-blast".
- From the Campaigns main screen, select from the list the campaign that you want to send an e-blast for. Navigate to the E-blasts tab, and click the "+ E-blast" button to create a new e-blast.
Any of these options will prompt you to create a new e-blast.
Pick a Template
When you create a new e-blast, the Add E-blast screen will appear and prompt you to pick a template. You can choose from one of our pre-loaded default templates or from a customized personal template that you and/or your team made. (To learn more about creating custom e-blast templates, click here.)
To select one of the templates, hover over the template you want and click on the "Select" button that appears. You can also preview a template by clicking on the "Preview" button.
When you are finished, click the "Next" button at the bottom right of the screen.
Write in the message you want to send to your contacts. You can also add pictures, change the layout and configuration of columns and rows, as well as change the background colors and Donate button.

Once you are finished customizing your e-blast, click the "Save" button to save your work and click the "Next" button at the right bottom of the screen.
Add Recipients and Details
On the Add recipients screen, you can add an associated campaign, a subject line, or a recipient group, as well as choose to send the email as the assigned user or from the organization's e-blast email address.

Complete your E-blast
When you are finished customizing your e-blast, click "Save Draft" to return to the E-blast tab screen.
If there are files that you would like to attach to your e-blast, click the orange "+" button to the right of your e-blast subject title and select "Attachments". You can add files from your computer or from a URL.
Select your file and click the "Select" button at the bottom right of the screen to attach your file.
Send your E-blast
When you're ready to send your e-blast, you have a few different options.
You can choose to send a test version first, send your e-blast immediately, or schedule it to send at a date and time in the future.
There are many ways that you can use e-blasts to manage your group emails and get your message out. We've made it easy and simple to send emails to your contacts and to understand what happens with your messages after sending so that you can communicate effectively and efficiently.
Let previous donors know about your upcoming campaign, send out a monthly newsletter, or invite specific contacts to a fundraising event. With E-blasts, you can spend less time searching for email addresses and more time getting your message out!
After you send an e-blast, you can learn more about the success of your message and the email recipients using our e-blast statistics and even test different versions of your message with sections of a tag or Smart List group to see which one is more successful.
You can also duplicate successful e-blast emails and set commonly used e-blasts as templates for future use.
