We know how important it is to be able to track contacts and manage your team. That's why we've made it easy to assign team members to contacts with a few clicks.
Our Assignee tool lets you assign team members to oversee certain contacts. When you use this tool, you can outline team member responsibilities, boost accountability, and ensure that a potential sponsor or donor never slips through the cracks again.
Add an Assignee to an Individual
Keela makes it easy and quick to add an Assignee to an individual contact.
Most of the time, when you create or import a contact, you have the option to assign a team member to them. If you choose not to do so, you can still designate an Assignee manually.
Open a Contact Profile
Open Contacts from the left sidebar on your screen and find the contact you want to edit from the contact list. This will open to the contact's profile page.
On the contact profile, there are a number of categories of information that can be edited. The Assignee is displayed at the upper right hand corner of the contact profile.
There are two ways to edit the Assignee for an individual contact:
A) Click on the Assignee icon in the upper right hand corner of the Contact profile.
B) In the contact profile, scroll down to the Admin heading and click the "Edit" button.
Both options will open the 'Edit Contact Admin' screen and allow you to change the Assignee.
Add an Assignee
In the "Assignee" field on the Edit Contact Admin screen, select a team member from the drop-down option list.
Click the "Save" button at the bottom right of the screen.
Adding an Assignee to Multiple Contacts
Need to assign a team member to multiple contacts? You can add an Assignee to a group of contacts with a few clicks.
These contacts can be in your primary Contacts list or even in a tag or household that you created.
There are a few places from which you can select the contacts you want to assign to a team member.
A) From your Contact List
If you want to assign a team member to specific contacts, you can do that through your Contacts list, accessed through the left sidebar on your screen. To do this, find the contacts you want from the Contacts list and check the boxes to the left of their name. You can select some or click the checkbox to the left of the column headers to select all the contacts on your screen.
B) From a Tag
If you want to assign a team member to contacts that belong to a particular group, go to the Tags tab from the Contacts screen and open the tag you want. You can select some of the contacts using the checkbox to the left of their names or select all by using the checkbox to the left of the column headers in the list.
C) From a Household
If you want to assign a team member to contacts that belong to a particular household, go to the Households tab from the Contacts screen and open the tag you want. You can select some of the contacts using the checkbox to the left of their names or select all by using the checkbox to the left of the column headers in the list.

Add an Assignee
After you select contacts, the "Edit Selected" button will appear to the right of the "+ Contacts" button. Click on the "Edit Selected" button and select "Assignee & Priority" to open the Edit Contacts screen.
In the Assignee field, choose a team member from the drop-down option list. Click the "Save" button at the bottom-right of the screen.
